Bishop Robert Vasa has been Bishop of the Diocese of Baker since 2000.
Before coming to Bend, the seat of the Baker Diocese, Bishop Vasa was a Monsignor in the Diocese of Lincoln, Neb., in the same area where he grew up.
Bishop Vasa has been known to do remodeling and carpentry in church facilities and rewired the computers for the Baker Diocese Chancery soon after taking on his new post.
